An isopropyl alcohol spray, or cheap plain vodka, is a fantastic germ-buster that does not contribute to bacterial resistance either.
You can use it on any hard, non-painted surface in the kitchen. You can, of course, also opt to dilute a little bleach in a lot of water for the same surfaces.
Chopping boards should always be wiped down with a little alcohol, or half a raw lemon if you’d prefer. If the material is robust enough, you can leave it in the sun for an hour for some extra disinfecting power. Butchers block countertops can be cleaned the same way.
